General election held in Nigeria on February 25th, 2023, the Independent National Electroral Commission has declared the flagbearere for ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS, Bola Tinubu,as the president elect.
The former Lagos state governor, was elected president after He got 8,794,726 vote in the 2023 election.

Bola Tinubu won the election ahead on other competitors, The Peoples Democratic Party flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar, The Labour Party flagbearer, Peter Obi, and also New Nigeria Peoples Party flagbearer, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
The three leading presidential candidate won in 12 states each while Kwankwaso claimed only Kano State.
Tinubu brinked Atiku, a former vice president and his closest challenger, with no fewer then 1.8 million vote.
The PUNCH reports that the 2023 presidential election is the first time that Tinubu conpete for the nation’s highest job. The former senator left offoice as a two term governor of Lagos State in 2007 and is credited with leading the affiliation that ousted the PDP from power in 2015 and has expand his influence beyond the South -West region in recent years.
